Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
SYGNAL is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards across our website, mobile applications, and training platform.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. SYGNAL's public website targets conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. SYGNAL also works to meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act where applicable.
Measures We Take
SYGNAL takes the following measures to ensure accessibility: we include accessibility as part of our design and development process, we test new features against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria before release, we use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes where appropriate, we maintain meaningful alt text on informative images, we ensure sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements, we support keyboard navigation throughout the site, and we periodically audit our pages for accessibility regressions.
Compatibility With Browsers and Assistive Technology
SYGNAL is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers, including Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. The site is tested with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver on iOS and macOS, TalkBack on Android, NVDA on Windows, and JAWS on Windows. If you encounter compatibility issues with a specific browser or assistive technology, please let us know.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content on the SYGNAL website may not yet be fully accessible. Our marketing site uses a single-page application (SPA) framework that, in some cases, may take a moment to announce route changes to screen readers. We are actively working to improve route-change announcements and overall SPA accessibility. PDF documents and embedded videos may not always include full accessibility metadata; we are working through our content to remediate these as we identify them.
Feedback and Reporting Issues
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of SYGNAL. If you encounter accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at support@sygnalapp.com. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days. If you would like to request information in an alternate format, contact the same email and we will work with you to find a suitable format.
Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern and you reside in Ontario, you may also contact the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario. Customers in the United States may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
