Hardware
SYGNAL Source beacons, SAM monitors, and pump simulators are training devices. They are not certified gas detection instruments, not approved for life-safety applications, and not a substitute for calibrated commercial or regulatory-approved monitors. Hardware emissions (Bluetooth advertising) are deliberately limited to training environments.
User-Created Scenarios and Content
SYGNAL allows trainers and organizations to create custom scenarios, hazard profiles, and reference content. SYGNAL does not pre-screen user-created content for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, or fitness for any particular training objective. Use of user-created content is at the user's and the organization's own risk.
Bluetooth and Location Data
Bluetooth distance estimates, GPS positions, and proximity alerts shown by SYGNAL are simulated or approximate values intended for training feedback only. They must not be relied upon for navigation, search-and-rescue, accountability, or any operational decision in an actual incident.
No Medical Advice
SYGNAL is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Health symptoms or exposure-related effects discussed in scenarios or reference materials are simplified for training purposes. In any real exposure or medical situation, seek qualified medical care immediately.
Adult Users Only
SYGNAL is intended for use by adult professional and volunteer responders, hazmat trainers, and emergency-services organizations. The platform is not designed for, and should not be used by, persons under 18 years of age.
No Warranty
The SYGNAL platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, including but not limited to use in actual emergency response.
Use at Your Own Risk
You acknowledge that emergency response, hazardous materials operations, and live training exercises involve inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all such risks associated with your use of the platform and any related training activities. Any decision made by a user, organization, or third party based on SYGNAL output during an actual incident is made entirely at the decision-maker's own risk and without involvement, support, or endorsement from SYGNAL. Reliance on SYGNAL output in actual emergencies is strictly prohibited.
No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SYGNAL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, including damages resulting from any decision or action taken in actual emergency response based on or referencing platform output.
Indemnity
By using SYGNAL, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SYGNAL, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, loss, damage, or expense arising from your use of the platform, your breach of these terms, or any decision made in actual emergency response based on platform output.
